About Daniel

Heald Financial Advisors was founded in 1993 by John Heald to provide personalized financial planning services and a client first experience. Over the last 27 years the firm has continued to evolve but the client first mentality has always been the firm's focus. With that in mind John started to think about the future and wanted to ensure his clients were well taken care of, as he started to think about handing off the day to day operations of the business. In 2018 John partnered with Stratos Wealth Partners and they began searching for a partner & successor who shared his same values and approach. After an exhaustive search, John chose Dan Loughlin to continue what he started.

In September 2018, Dan joined Heald Financial Advisors as Managing Director. Dan leads the strategic direction of the firm and works directly with clients on planning, investment and lifestyle decisions.

He has a diverse background in financial services, where he spent almost a decade as a wholesaler working with top advisors across the country. Dan joins us from a leading third party marketing firm where he was responsible for identifying potential investors, facilitating the due diligence process, and maintaining relationships with investors. Prior to that he was a Regional Director for a  boutique asset manager where he was one of the first five salespeople marketing mutual funds, ETFs and separately managed accounts to financial advisors. Managing a multi-state territory, he raised over $700 million and helped the firm grow from $200 million to over $3B in assets.

Dan holds his Series 7, 6, and 63 licenses with LPL Financial and is an Investment Advisor Representative with Stratos Wealth Partners and a Registered Representative of LPL Financial. He received his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Fairfield University. Residing on the coast of New Jersey, Dan embodies the spirit of fun on land, air or sea: you might find him walking his rescue pups Hooch & Roo, globetrotting with his wife, kayaking, or chasing after his 2 year old son, Cam.
